Najib wanders the city injured and disturbed, and collapses in front of an Indian hotel. The hotel owner sympathizes greatly with Najib’s condition, as he is taken to the bathroom, his hair is shaved, a doctor is brought to treat his wounds, and he helps him obtain the necessary papers to return to India. However, his problems are not over yet.
Najeeb faces prison due to his document problems and meets the sponsor who comes to search with others for the runaway workers, but the sponsor leaves him despite knowing him well since he is not his official sponsor and tells him that if he was his official sponsor, he would have sent him back to the farm in the desert.
In the final scene, as Najeeb heads towards his journey, he contemplates his life, and sees his fellow citizens returning laden with gifts while he has nothing, but he realizes that his life is the only thing he can offer to his son who was born in his absence and his wife.
The film (Goat’s Life) was filmed in stages between March 2018 and July 2022 through six timelines in the deserts of Wadi Rum in Jordan and the Algerian Sahara, with some scenes filmed in Kerala in India.
