- Prevention: EJAF focuses on prevention by funding programs that educate communities about how to protect themselves from contracting HIV. This includes providing access to condoms, clean needles, and other harm-reduction tools, as well as promoting PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), a medication that can significantly reduce the risk of HIV transmission.
- Treatment and Care: For people living with HIV, EJAF funds initiatives that ensure they have access to life-saving antiretroviral therapy (ART). The foundation supports clinics and outreach programs that offer medical care, counseling, and support for individuals, particularly in areas with high rates of HIV infection and limited access to healthcare.
- Ending Stigma: One of the biggest barriers in the fight against AIDS is the stigma that people living with HIV continue to face. This stigma can prevent individuals from getting tested, seeking treatment, or disclosing their status. EJAF works with media, governments, and grassroots organizations to challenge harmful narratives and promote compassion, understanding, and inclusivity.
- Policy Advocacy: The foundation also plays a critical role in advocating for policies that support HIV prevention and treatment.
